Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift Launched In India

On 16th October 2026, the Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift 125th Anniversary Edition has entered the Indian market on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the motorcycle manufacturer. The special edition takes the appeal of the brand's 650cc twin-cylinder offering to the next level through the use of an exclusive colour-changing paint finish, plus quality detailing and limited production.

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift is priced at ₹4,25,589 (ex-showroom) with a maximum of 125 units to be sold in India. Autocar India said that they have begun accepting registrations on October 16, which will run till October 28, and will start selling it from October 28.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift: What's New?

The most important feature of the anniversary edition is its unique Hypershift paintwork. Depending on the lighting and viewing angle, the motorcycle's colour can appear to change between red, green and gold shades. The finish is complemented by special anniversary badging, a 125-year crest on the fuel tank and hand-painted pinstripes.

The styling stays the same as the standard Classic 650 with its teardrop fuel tank, classic headlamp and twin exhausts. These help to maintain the traditional look and make the limited-edition version more unique.

There are no mechanical changes to the Hypershift edition made by Royal Enfield. It's still powered by the same engine and base hardware as the standard Classic 650.

Engine and Performance

The Enfield 647.95cc, air- and oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine is the power source of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift. It produces approximately 46.39 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of peak torque at 5,650 rpm. The six-speed manual transmission is mated to the engine.

The bike also has the same chassis and suspension layout as the standard model. It has telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, and dual-channel ABS assist in braking safety.

Price and Availability

The Hypershift is priced at ₹4.26 lakh (ex-showroom), and it is higher than the regular Classic 650 variants due to its exclusive finish and anniversary-specific styling elements. It is a limited edition of only 125 units, so availability is a crucial factor for those interested in purchasing it.

Only those customers who have registered will be eligible to take part in the limited edition sale. The company's official information states deliveries will commence after the sales process, with deliveries expected to be within 120-180 days of booking.

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift is designed for collectors and enthusiasts looking for a unique take on the retro "650" twin-cylinder engine bike. The mechanical package has been left unchanged, with the exception of special anniversary and exclusivity styling.
