Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. posted robust auto sales for the month of August 2026, with the overall vehicle sales (including exports) growing by 42% year-on-year to 1,07,648 units.
The company's Utility Vehicles business sold 59,257 domestically, up 50 per cent from August 2025. Sales of Overall Utility Vehicles (including exports) totalled 61,167 units.
However, Mahindra's domestic Commercial Vehicle sales were 27,415 units, with a 22% growth during the month.
Sources from Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd's Automotive Business stated that the company's demand portfolio was strong. The BE 6 SPORTEQ was a big hit on the market, with the company anticipating further movement this holiday season as well as the updated Scorpio-N.

“In August, we achieved SUV sales of 59257 units delivering growth of 50%, and total
vehicle sales stood at 107648, a 42% YoY growth. Demand continues to remain strong
across our portfolio, with the updated Scorpio-N and BE 6 SPORTEQ receiving strong
market response from customers. We look forward to building on this momentum during
the festive season.”
Mahindra also made good export growth in August 2026. The value of total exports was 6,054 units, an increase of 71% from August 2025 when it was 3,548 units.
In the August 2026 performance, the company's growth is bolstered by strong demand for SUVs, commercial vehicles, and exports, supporting its future growth in the festive season.
