Skoda has added a new variant of Kylaq in India – the Sportline. The new variant brings the Czech carmaker's range expansion, announced earlier this year with the Classic Plus, Signature Plus and Prestige Plus variants, to a close.
It was previously revealed that the Kylaq Sportline was due to be the top-end variant. But the new update has left it at the bottom of the new lineup, below the Prestige variant. There are two options for the Sportline: manual and automatic.
Skoda Kylaq Sportline Price in India
The new Skoda Kylaq Sportline is sold from ₹11.32 lakh (ex-showroom) in manual and ₹12.32 lakh in automatic variants.
The Sportline is priced at ₹55,000 more than the Signature Plus. Meanwhile, it is available at a lower price of ₹43,000 than the Prestige variant.
In the variants, Skoda has increased the price of the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission by a whopping ₹1 lakh.

Skoda Kylaq Sportline Exterior Design
The most significant upgrades to the new Kylaq Sportline are to be found in its exterior styling. The new model variant is pretty much the same as the Sportline versions of the Slavia and Kushaq, with just a few blacked-out parts to make the compact SUV look sporty.
The Sportline has black-finished 17-inch alloy wheels, black ORVMs, black roof and black faux skid plates on both bumpers. It additionally gets a roof-mounted spoiler to give it a sportier appearance.
Sportline badging has been introduced to the C-pillar and tailgate, to help identify the new variant from other Kylaq variants.
Skoda's wordmark between the tail lights is also black, which completes the dark theme of the exterior.
Another consideration to highlight is lighting. The Kylaq Sportline is the lowest priced in the range to come equipped with projector LED headlights and LED fog lamps with cornering function. LED headlights remain for the lower variant.
The interior and features of the Skoda Kylaq Sportline
It's sporty-looking on the outside and inside, too. The inside of the Kylaq Sportline is darker, with black leatherette seats with white stitching.
There is also Sportline branding on the headrests of the seats. The sportier ambience of the cabin is enhanced by aluminium pedals and white ambient lighting.

The equipment list in Skoda's entire Kylaq range has also been updated. The base Classic variant now comes with automatic climate control and a rear defogger, making it more capable than ever.
Skoda Kylaq Sportline Engine and Transmission
The new Kylaq Sportline retains the same 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine as the rest of the models. No mechanical modifications to increase the power of the Sportline are made.
The engine produces 116 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque. A choice of a 6-speed torque converter automatic or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Its claimed mileage in manual transmission is 19.68 kmpl, and that of the automatic is 19.05 kmpl.
With no changes in the mechanical assembly, the Sportline is more geared toward styling and equipment than performance enhancements.

The new Kylaq Sportline is geared towards customers who wish to experience a sportier appearance in a compact SUV without the need to upgrade to a more powerful engine.
It has blacked-out exterior elements, 17-inch alloy wheels, a darker cabin, aluminium pedals and Sportline-specific elements, which make for a much more recognisable look than the standard variants.
They also come with a variety of manual and automatic transmission options, providing consumers with more choice depending on their driving needs.
There may be buyers willing to pay a bit more for the most feature-packed version of the Kylaq; however, that's the Prestige and Prestige Plus models. The Sportline is more appropriate for individuals who are more concerned about style and a more sporty look, but keep the standard Kylaq's engine and mechanical configuration.
