Tata To Launch New ICE And Electric Cars – New Tigor To Avinya

Tata to Launch New Cars Soon

Tata Motors is preparing to grow its passenger vehicle lineup to include several new internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EVs) in the next few years. The company will launch vehicles across segments, from the new-generation Tigor to the premium electric vehicle Avinya.

The upcoming launches are likely to enhance Tata Motors' portfolio of products in the conventional car segment as well as the electric vehicle segment, thereby providing customers with more choices in the price ranges.

Tata Has Launched a New Range of Tigor and Tigor EV

With a substantial change in the sedan range, the all-new Tata Tigor is likely to get a significant facelift. Tata Motors is also likely to roll out a new Tigor EV along with the ICE variant.

The new-generation Tigor may get a makeover of its exterior design with a more modern look, and a completely redesigned interior with new technology elements. The Tigor EV is anticipated to further Tata's thrust towards "massive" electric vehicle adoption at a reasonable cost.

The new Tigor models are likely to be launched around 2026, but the exact plans for its launch and the specifications remain to be officially confirmed.

Tata Altroz EV

Tata Motors is also in the works to launch an electric Altroz premium hatch. The Altroz EV will promise functionality, up-to-the-minute features and electric drive.

The new EV might be marketed as a higher-specification electric hatchback and will appeal to those who want an average everyday electric vehicle with a decent-sized cabin.

Final details on the battery size, range and pricing of the Altroz EV are likely to be announced nearer the time.

Tata Safari EV

The company is also working on an electric version of the Safari SUV. The Safari EV will likely join Tata's more upscale and bigger electric SUVs.

It might provide sufficient cabin space and three-row seating and a larger battery pack for both city and highway driving. The Safari EV is likely to further consolidate Tata Motors in the emerging electric SUV space.

Tata Avinya

The Avinya is the highest-spec model in Tata Motors' upcoming EV plan. While the Tata EV vehicles are part of the mainstream vehicle lineup of the company, Avinya is likely to be a more premium and tech-oriented range of electric vehicles.

The production version of the Avinya is expected to be futuristic, feature a spacious interior, advanced technology and have a long-range electric powertrain.

But the first production model is expected around 2027, and Tata Motors hasn't yet announced the final specifications and pricing of the Avinya.

The Upcoming ICE and EV Strategy by Tata is Unveiled

Tata Motors is gearing up for various segments with its new Tigor, Tigor EV, Altroz EV, Safari EV and Avinya.

The company is likely to keep selling ICE versions for those who still want petrol or diesel cars, while developing EV models in both mass-market and premium ranges.

The new models may help Tata Motors to gain a more prominent foothold in the fast-evolving Indian passenger car market. The new Tigor will be more affordable, while products like Altroz EV and Safari EV will add to the company's EV lineup, with Avinya slotted at the premium end.
