Six SUVs make up over 80% of Tata's Sales
The SUV driven approach of Tata is working. The combined sales of Punch, Nexon, Sierra, Harrier, Curvv, and Safari, were 83% of total passenger sales as opposed to 76% in the same period last year. In the nine month period starting from January 2026 to September 2026, the six SUV models sold 478,153 units, up by 53% from the 311,933 units sold in the corresponding period of 2025.

The Nexon EV remains the biggest seller among Tata's six EV models, while the updated Tiago EV and Punch EV are also seeing higher demand. Tata has also extended its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option to the Nexon EV, Curvv EV, Sierra EV and Harrier EV, which could further support demand by lowering the upfront cost.
